Southey owl   10 #20 Posted July 30, 2017 Yes Jim, Chelsea have NINE goalies on their books. (Nine, I ask you !).  Hi stpetre, NINE is a rather large amount of goalies to be currently on one's club books.Chelsea must have at least 2 goalkeeping coaches to coach them. Its ' one over the eight ' so to speak. Can't believe any club needing that amount. Another 2 goalies and Chelsea would be able to turn out a team full of goalies. All number 1's, . . . All for 1 and 1 for all. Back to United's new number 1 Blackman . . . . . . anyone any idea where he is in the Chelsea pecking order of 9 ? Last year they had 39 - that is THIRTY NINE - players out on loan. They had many more that simply never saw competitive football but were just training all the time. In total they had nearly 110 players on the books last year.
 Share this content via...

Premier Lge / Championship / Lge 2 that i believe would have done themselves justice say in the Championship during the 2016 /17 season .  3 - 4 - 3 formation .  Jamal Blackman (Wycombe Wandererers)  Alex Davey (Crawley Town ) Tamas Kalas (Fulham ) Nathan Ake (Bournemouth )  Kenedy (Watford ) Kasey Palmer (Huddersfield ) Christian Atsu ( Newcastle ) Lucas Piazon ( Fulham )  Loic Remy ( Crystal Palace ) Patrick Bamford ( Burnley ) Tammy Abraham ( Bristol City )  What you reckon folks ? Of course they can't all be in first team 'contention' and a few are junior players but all are professionals anyway. I guess the idea at Chelsea is stack up on as many players as possible so nobody else can have them and we'll loan them out to whom and when we see fit to.
