We used to have mass brawls when I was a kid, Herries school, Chaucer, Longley and Hinde House used to have regular dust ups, some of the meets in Longley Park were huge, its nothing new.

I think knives are used sometimes now, guns also.

Centertainment Murder, Hillsborough attempt murder.......This is just in one week

Using violence to try and teach children not to be violent. Great idea, what could possibly go wrong?

Well, that's the way it was when I was a kid and very little serious went wrong

seen some of vids and clips does not look very nice sad times we live in now

Awful place Fir Vale, almost a no go area for any decent citizen.

I’ve heard it was the EU immigrants that live in Page Hall....

Bit surprised to read you saying that, i take it you mean the Slovak Roma, or some of them

Apparently it was a fight between a Slovak/Roma pupil and a Somali pupil in the canteen and then phone calls were made that lead to mobs descending on the school.

I also heard that a teacher has been injured with a knife but can’t verify if it is true or not.
