Coronation Street creator and writer Tony Warren has died, a spokesman for the ITV soap opera has said.

Can't get that feed due to copyright stuff over in my neck of the woods. I seem to remember him once saying that the 1959 film Saturday Night and Sunday Morning( Albert Finney's debut film) was his inspiration for writing the initial episodes. Quite a journey, R-I-P Tony.
