R-I-P Paul Kantner

Paul Kantner founder member of Jefferson Airplane and political anarchist of the mid 60's has died at 74 years old. Along with the Doors, his band were the heart and soul of the San Francisco music scene of the late sixties and were one of the headliners of the original Woodstock festival.

As a rule I preferred Grace Slick's and Marty Balin's songs - but another important figure from the Woodstock generation passes on.
