New yoga class for active people

If you run, cycle, climb, hike or play sports this yoga class will help keep you in good form so as to improve your activity and help prevent injury. Iyengar yoga aligns and strengthens the muscular skeletal system so that your flexibility improves but in a balanced way. Heart and lung capacity improve without strain and the mind finds focus.

 

All welcome. Suitable for everyone who is active!

Sheffield Yoga Centre in Walkley is a beautiful and peaceful converted chapel that is fully equipped and runs 19 Iyengar yoga classes a week as well as regular workshops with national and international teachers. Iyengar yoga is a well-known method of yoga known for its focus on alignment and safe teaching of the poses. The centre is run by Frances Homewood, direct student of BKS Iyengar and one of the few Iyengar yoga teacher trainers and therapy teachers in the country.
