Rip Cheick Tiote

Former Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote has collapsed during a training session and passed away. Rest in peace.

Its such a high profile popular game that the numbers will always appear much higher than other sports, there seems to be a lot of heart related problems but I should imagine these are mainly genetic defects that affect people from all walks of life.

nah, i meant lately, never really heard of that many dying for decades, then all of a sudden theres been quite a few in the past 2/3 years.

on a side note, a lad i knew at school, Paul Smith (if i remember rightly) used to sit next to me. he died at school, got a football kicked into his stomach and died not long after.

Cheick Tiote will be fondly remembered by the toon army for the only goal he scored during his time there. It was a 30 yard volley in the last minute, resulting in a 4-4 draw against Arsenal who led 4-0 at half time.
