Colt 10 #1 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) Called in to the city center yester (a rear occasion for me), and came across a the Alt seen eye shop on Pinstone street / Charles street. Tagged on the the side / back of the shop is an exhibition exhibition centre, there were an amazing exhibition using electricity to burn wood and create "pictures". The pictures and exhibits were for sale, some exhibits procedes were going towards "save sheffield trees" charity. One of the best (in my opinion) was a bed that had been "burnt", creating some amazing details. And like some of the exhibits, it had been filled with photo illuminesent stuff, sanded and varnished. Amazingly every thing were for sale, including the bed! After abit of gooleing and facebooking I managed to find some information, according to the web the exhibition is only on till Wednesday. Well worth a look if you are in town. Taking over the back room of the City of Makers Gallery is Martyn Bailey’s exhibition of Lichtenbergs. The centrepiece of this exhibition is the formal unveiling of the “50,000 Volt Nikola Tesla Tribute Bed”. Open Monday to Saturday 10am – 6pm City of Makers Gallery 19 Charles Street S1 Monday 8th August to Wednesday 31st August Behind the scenes bits leading up to the exhibition which can be enjoyed at the City of Makers Gallery at 19 Charles Street until the end of August. ---------- Post added 28-08-2016 at 19:46 ---------- Some pics of the amazing double bed for sale http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm180/woodstrade/13987383_161837957556320_8800412776245406191_o_zpszfljvwcg.jpg http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm180/woodstrade/13958101_161837974222985_2290606568621507552_o_zpszshjdogl.jpg http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm180/woodstrade/13923387_161837990889650_138778063154993007_o_zpsxadnjfhx.jpg http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm180/woodstrade/13920366_161837930889656_2375377853291858491_o_zpshmodetbo.jpg http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm180/woodstrade/13679880_161837914222991_4043649978013959937_o_zpsuwwkdi4w.jpg http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm180/woodstrade/13923411_161837880889661_5864186110105351202_o_zps5tzeoj7a.jpg Edited August 28, 2016 by Colt
 Share this content via...

Colt 10 #3 Posted August 28, 2016 Thanks, might go and have a look. Have you seen the 3D Lichtenberg figures made by Bert Hickman? http://www.capturedlightning.com/ WOW, thanks for that. I will sure look through that, I were having a look at the stuff thinking about having a play at it my self. But after talking to Mr Bailey on how he has done it, I'm not too sure it would be a good idea
 Share this content via...
