When you first turn it on, if you go STRAIGHT to YouTube (before doing anything else) and try and play something, does it work?

Then, if you use it for a while, and try again, does it stop working?

when it's not working, what's it doing?, is it just freezing? or buffering? or do you get an error message or anything?

Thanks Ghozer, when it first comes on it will play youtube vids, i think i have the laptop in sleep mode though, if i leave the pc a while it stops playing the vids, when i restart it, they play perfectly...

the first thing that stops is the volume, and it spends ages trying to load the video, then it comes up with a message saying "if it doesnt play this video you may have to restart your pc"...

having just read a little on the web, it recommended downloading java, whether i had it on my pc or not i wasnt sure, but i have just installed it anyway...

thanks for your response, i will let you know what happens
