Went to buy some bird food at garden centres

Peanuts Sunflower seeds etc

Seemed twice as expensive as last time I bought some

Any ideas where I can buy some?

I'm sorry but don't you ever use your common sense,

Yeh! I agree common sense should be used here, like opening a window and let it go and feed its self, My God talk about Nanny State. :hihi:

why dont you use your local pet shops near to you instead of b&m. poundland and other large multinationals and give the local shopkeepers a chance the wild bird mix at b&m is full of wheat and corn, wait until that starts growing in your garden (you pay for what you get)

The pet shop in Hillsborough, at the bottom of Dykeshall Rd,

claims to be cheaper than,Wilkinsons, B@M, and Home Bargains.

Cookes Pet Suplies on Queens Rd Sheffield (also in Rotherham). Hulled sunflower seeds just over £20 for 20kg. They also do smaller bags and other seeds. By far the cheapest i have seen except the place in Hellaby mentioned above.

I make my own out of leftovers :- potato, apple ,soft fruit , oats, cereals and a drop of oil all lightly fried together . They take it alright!
