The only areas the council are bothered about is the Moor, Fargate and Barkers Pool.

A friend was walking on Bole Hills and someone complained that the dog bin was so full people were piling the bags on the lid and, as that was full, around the base.

She rang the appropriate department who told her to check inside the bin as it had been emptied the previous day.

Lo and behold, it was completely empty.

The theory being that someone had simply dumped their bags on top and everyone else had followed suit.

There should be a local dog tax to cover the cost of emptying dog bins

Well, maybe if the bins are full or absent and waste has to be left in the street, then this would be an excuse for one of the scab companies that the Council use, to impose "on the spot fines". Nice little earner?

People should take it home with them anyway. The council shouldn’t be paying for clearing up after people’s pets.

Exactly. The council is struggling to provide essential services, why do people need someone to come and thake their dog poo away for them???
