depoix   11 #13 Posted November 3, 2009 steady on depoix ol boy, he's admitted some mistakes have been made, we all already knew that, the situation wasnt perfect, he didnt say 'immigration was a mistake'! neither has anyone else ,we all realise we need immigration to survive but not on the scale that labour allowed, when there are few jobs we need fewer people not more, the health service is under strain as has been mentioned on here for the last few years ,we knew that, but labour wouldnt listen ,the schools and housing are going the same way ,we now need to build enough houses each year to provide homes for as many people as are in birmingham,a major job ,but wheres the money going to come from ? labour didnt do their homework and now they have woken up ,or they have realised people are talking politics and labour is running scared of losing their very well paid jobs
 Share this content via...

First thing that wants doing is stopping the 200,000 "students" who come here. wait and see which party tries to be the "toughest on immigration. MR BENN Â Â 10 #16 Posted November 3, 2009 its fantastic that the penny finally drops ,for years people have been voicing opinions on immigration and wether or not it is a good thing ,labour stuck in a rut would not move ,but after question time and straws **** up ,they now have to grab votes,so they turn round their opinions as if its all just come to light and they want to save britain ,closing the stable door long after the horse has bolted springs to mind ...... Â its all hot air and headlines just to gain votes .we all know they will do sod all about it , and they will continue to let ewvery tom Dick and Harry in to the country. Nodens   10 #17 Posted November 3, 2009 (edited) Give that man a round of applause. The Home Secretary Alan Johnson has finally admitted that governments past and present have made mistakes over migration. A bit of honesty on the subject, from the actual top dog politician for migration, what a refreshing change.  Honesty? From a politician? That'll be the day.  I think there's an election around the corner and he's just telling the people what they've been waiting to hear for the past twelve (12) years Edited November 4, 2009 by Ms Macbeth fixing quotes
 Share this content via...

muchtoofair   10 #19 Posted November 3, 2009 (edited)  I wonder if Nick Griffin will also see the light and admit his mistakes on immigration, the holocaust, native Britons, homosexuality, race, the economy, Europe, international trade, etc?  Griffin was WRONG about the holocaust,no amount of fawning will get him out of that one.On native Britons,I could prove or disprove that, depending on the academic criteria imposed upon the discussion. On homosexuality,Griffin is,or more accurately was,as queer as a box of frogs. On race,he's dodgy to say the least. The economy,he takes a standard protectionist stance, not uncommon. On Europe he is mainstream. On international trade he is as flummoxed as the average person in as much as the perrenial moral dilemma as to whether European protectionism will starve Africa or drive it into the ownership of Chinese communism, land buying and management, will affect any of us here, though I suspect that he is not ever so concerned about this.  On immigration,he is correct to want to limit numbers for entry and wrong to advocate re patriation and expulsion of anyone legally here.  He's a politician.......  On the home secretary.  As soon as the Neathers disclosure was made and I'm not sure how this has been validated, any sources? It was clear that outrage would ensue and if Neathers was correctly quoted,I'm hardly suprisedthat the H.S has come out with this.  It has to be said that the pressure applied by Griffin may have been a composite factor in this disclosure by the H.S. hard2miss   10 #20 Posted November 4, 2009 Now lets see him seriously do something about rounding them up and kicking them out.  If they wont say what country they came from then use DNA to get a rough Idea and parachute them back if the country of origin wont have them back as is the case with Iraq.
