Yeah, apparently you can keep the bubbles in sparking wine if you pop a tea spoon in the neck... Never really left it long enough to find out though :)

 

I watched a prog' on this once and it was tested - it doesn't work and the wine/champ which didn't have the spoon was still as fizzy.

 

It does raise a smile when I go to friends houses and they have a spoon dangling in the bottle.
