If it wasnt a strategic publicity stunt timed to perfection, which i have no reason to believe it was, then i think its wonderful. Old Boris has done something which the majority of good hearted (and brave may i add) people do.

If this story is true then fair play, but Boris has been a DISASTER for London, a major embarrassment and it's getting worse, he's reversed the pedestrian/cyclist friendly policies of Ken, made London more dangerous and seems content to only turn up for photo opportunities, like this made-up story pr exercise.
