I went out from our London place at lunchtime today to get the ingredients for dinner and was greeted by 40 odd police and the air ambulance parked by the front garden and utter carnage all over the road, not johny terrorist, a selfish dick on a motorbike tearing up the road at stupid speed who had taken out a pedestrian then catapulted himself into the railings.

Speed kills as sure as any bullet and people who speed while claiming they are persecuted law abiding citizens need a short sharp shock jailing to remind them they are anything but.

Inappropriate speed increases the risk and consequences of an accident. Speed itself is entirely harmless.

People who commit such offences need to be removed from society.

I can't support either answer on your poll. These offences are a serious blight on our society, but FPNs are not an option in my view.
