London based hardman actor Ray Winstone was seen in the Park Hill Flats area today filming his latest movie. Also rumours he was in the Penny Black pub afterwards.

Got that bad did it? Never stayed in for long all those years ago, but it seemed OK then, except for the Trophy bitter. It used to be the first stop on the town centre pub crawl, back in the day, when coming into town by bus.

you might have seen him in a film or two though, especially in the last couple of decades when the UK was goin’ Mockney crazy with several Essex gangster films coming out every year.

Imagine a working class Terry Venables but with less charisma, and you’re not far off

No Sorry.
Essex gangster films! what do you take me for?
The Last films I watched were "Sound City" By Dave Grohl, before that I saw the Buena vista Social Club.

Is Terry Venables some kind of clergyman ? He sounds like someone from a radio play from the 1960s.
