Moor market car park

We frequently use the Apcoa privately run car park by the Moor Market.It is absolutely filthy , with the basement used as a toilet and quite often there is a discarded hypodermic. The smell is overpowering but all they seem bothered about is collecting fees.

This is a prime example of why towns are dead and out of town shopping centres do well! Free parking and hardly such issues

The problem isn't the car park but the lovely folk who pee in it and leave their needles., They do have staff working there all the time. If you call them at the office next to the pay station they're usually very helpful in getting problems sorted out.

The Atkinsons one is usually pretty clean in my experience.

The company I work for pays for us to park in the Moor car park (and the Atkinsons one but it closes at 8 and some of us need more flexible hours for parking). We've been heavily complaining about the vagrant situation especially after lifts have been offline due to people covering them in blood and faeces.

Apparently they are introducing roaming security and sirens to combat the anti social issues and to stop people sleeping in stairwells and lobbies. The basement carpark is well covered by security cameras by the way.

Maybe this thread should be merged with the beggars and street drinkers thread as I suspect its the usual druggies that frequent the town centre causing problems.
