Cycling World Championship bypassing Sheffield

Less cyclists the better they are like wasp's no body but cyclists want them.

This is a massive event for Yorkshire so I am pleased for the wider area. It would pay for a delegation from Sheffield of council and cycling groups to help with the organisation in order to have confidence in organising future Sheffield cycling events.

I think it was some other tour (de France)and there was massive disruption but the big problem was being able to find alternative routes and information to plan in advance

For many it might have been simply an inconvenience but for others trying to catch a train or plane out of Manchester then a real problem

This thread goes to show, yet again, why Sheffield struggles to progress in the way that it could. "I don't want a massive sporting event as it affects my drive to the shop". Ridiculous.

There will be a huge list of other cities that have never staged the cycling world championships. Unlike Sheffield, most of them won't have staged the Tour de France either.

This is about an event that is specifically happening in Yorkshire , it often seems as though Sheffield has no desire to be part of this great County .
