cgksheff   44 #2 Posted August 10, 2018 (edited) Did anyone see the plane that flew very low over Sheffield today? It came over Ecclesall Rd about 12:18 from West to East then sharply banked Southbound. Looked like a large commercial airliner, very unusual flight behaviour  Lot of flights were put into holding after storms affected Manchester. Reliantrobin   10 #4 Posted August 10, 2018 It was an Emirates A380 which can carry over 500 passengers at 7000 feet. If you ever get the chance to fly in one it is the only way to travel.
 Share this content via...
mrsb73 Â Â 11 #5 Posted August 10, 2018 I saw this from Meadowhall retail park! Just saw it turning and then disappeared into the cloud I thought it was an A380 because of the 4 engines but then wondered if I was imagining it! Great aircraft to travel in ? bjones787   10 #7 Posted August 10, 2018 This is the aircraft you saw, it was in various holds approaching Manchester for nearly an hour due to weather as stated above.  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PpaXl1sKpVb0LYFRdTI_qKPs4ulFzVwg/view?usp=drivesdk  (UTC time is 1 hour behind BST)
 Share this content via...

PlayStation   10 #9 Posted August 10, 2018 The Emirates a380 is a regular sight over our house in s5... i have a nikon p900 camera with 83 x zoom but even without it you can clearly see what it is just because of the shear size of it..... amazing engineering.
