Joe Bonamassa-british Blues

Just finished watching Joe Bonamassa playing live on a nearly two hour dvd titled "The British blues Explosion" released this month along with a two cd audio version.

The playing to my ears is repetitive with too many way down the neck solos, his style of playing is at odds with his black suit, glasses and shirt look. The only song/tune I recognised was Beck's Bolero, rice pudding? played much better and with more emotion by Jeff himself, in short audition the cd or dvd before parting with the hard earned .
