Taste Moor will be a vibrant and fun day filled with free activities, workshops and demonstrations.

SUNRIT CULTURAL GROUP

KATHAK – CLASSICAL INDIAN DANCE

Sunrit is a sanskrit word which means a beautiful dance, pleasant and true. South Asian classical dance, music and drama.

BELLYDANCE

Colourful and energetic Sheffield based belly dance troupe

 

12.30pm

MULEMBAS D’AFRICA

AFRICAN FUSION

African Fusion dance classes, a marriage of traditional and contemporary dance styles. Classes with live musicians

NISHA LALL DANCE

BOLLYWOOD & BHANGRA

Nisha Lall Dance provide dance projects and sessions in cultural dance styles - Indian, Arabic & Latin.

EXCEL DANCE

STREET DANCE

Excel Dance offers classes in streetdance. EXCEL is the most professional training facility in Sheffield, with something unique and exciting for everyone.

DANCE & SHINE

COLUMBIAN FOLK DANCE

Walter & Maria perform Cumbria and Mapale folk dances which include elements of African and European dance influences.

INK DANCE COMPANY

HIP HOP / STREET DANCE

Young and vibrant hip hop group providing classes, workshops and professional training.

FLAMENCO IN SHEFFIELD

FLAMENCO

Barbara holds a degree in Flamenco Art & Classical Ballet from the Real University-College of Mariemma in Madrid. Let’s bring the passion of Flamenco to Sheffield with soul and spirit. Ole!

ZUBAIDAH

BELLYDANCE

Zubaidah specialise in traditional, tribal and gothic fusion belly dancing and perform throughout the whole of South Yorkshire, surrounding areas and further a field.

 

 

Craft Area

Craft workshop 1 - Rangoli Food Art

Experiment with Rangoli patterns to create edible food art to eat or display!

Craft workshop 2 - Decorative Jam Jars

Transform old jam jars into colourful hangings and lights to take home!

Craft workshop 3 - Memory Wire Bracelets

Design and create memory wire bracelets with recycled beads and homemade flour beads.

Craft workshop 4 - Creative Labels

Jazz up your home recycling by making your very own unique label designs!

Visit our ‘Give Nature a Home’ stand and discover lots of ideas for DIY homes for nature in your own back garden. We’ll also have information on our local nature reserves and events.

Time Builders

Time Builders is Sheffield’s first Time Bank. Its a way of recognising and rewarding all the talent and skill and compassion that exist in every community – the things that hold communities together. To find out more info about Time Builders and how you can get involved come and visit their stall.

Veggie Curry - First of two demos from nutritionist Hannah Bailey: here Hannah shows us how to make a healthy and versatile Veggie curry.

Medieval Feasting

 

1.15pm - 1.45pm Lemongrass (Moor Market)

Thai Green Curry - Using ingredients from their shop in the market… Lemongrass show us how to make an authentic Thai Green Curry.

1.15pm - 1.45pm Brian Holmshaw (Demo Tent)

A short talk by local historian Brian Holmshaw of Sheaf Valley Heritage on the history of food in the City. From Pikelets to Hendersons and Thorntons to Fletchers.

 

2.00pm - 2.30pm Hannah Bailey (Demo Tent)

Veggie Fajitas - Hannah is back to show us how to make a fantastic veggie Mexican dish.

 

3.00pm - 3.30pm Hannah Bailey (Moor Market)
