I am looking for a removal van for 26th Jan from Nether Edge to Meersbrook, full house worth but one large van should do it, main bulk items are washing machine, dryer, fridge, sofa, one large bed, wardrobe a few units rest will be boxes and soft stuff.

could you let me know what you'd charge me for this?

Can anyone recommend a good local removal firm to remove the contents of a 3 bedroomed house? We need someone to do it all for us, as I cant do any lifting due to back injury, so a man with a van wouldnt really suit. Also I would prefer it all to go in one van all at once.

I used Merrills, as did my parents when they moved recently. They were great on both occasions. Definately better than lifting and moving everything yourself!

Give First Step Trust on London Road a call (0114 2812981), reasonable rates (£30 an hour) and you're helping a charitable organisation.

And yeah, I work for 'em :hihi:

Great people, just not very widely known yet.

We used 'specialised movers' recently. We got the full packing and removal service and they were great, can't fault them.

Wondered where you'd moved to Hels. Hope all is well with your baby boy and hope you are keeping well. I dont want anyone to pack, but I will look into their prices for removals.

What do you expect to pay these days for a 3 bedroomed house removal within Sheffield, say 10 miles?

Can any one recommend a trustworthy removal company that doesn't cost the earth ? Mr Poppylamb may be away when we move and I am far too weedy to help carry the wardrobe downstairs . If we didn't have to remortgage the new house to pay them too that would be perfect :)

It's not all about things being cheap though is it? Cheap is no use if they aren't trustworthy and careful with your things.

Sorry I can't actually recommend anyone- I haven't moved house in 15 years.

Andrews removals, they are in Yellow pages, we lived in a 3rd floor flat with no lift, three guys cam round emptied, moved the stuff and put back in in 3 hours (and we had loads) £47 (i think) per hour including vat, min 4 hours. Dead nice guys, quick and cheap!
