He excels in his Naval career, and is eventually attached to a unit of the Special Boat Squadron, that sees active service in Northern Ireland, and during the Falklands War in 1982.  His experiences on South Georgia, soon begin to have a detrimental effect upon Sean's well being, and upon his return to the UK, he is diagnosed with a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and is subsequently discharged from the Royal Navy.  His life and his mental well being, soon descend into gradual deterioration, as he feels helpless, and of his need to shun society. He seeks solitude and isolation in order to come to terms with his condition.  He finds this by living in the disused tunnels and network, of the London Underground adjacent to the 'District Line.' A chance meeting whilst underground, has a profound effect upon his lifestyle, and an outcome for the remainder of his life Edited August 29, 2017 by boston
 Share this content via...
