Janus   28 #1 Posted February 11, 2017 I`d not seen the reports about this issue previously, but looking online and YT there is quite a bit of info out there. There is even an 8 year old thread on here http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=340628 But it is rare to hear anything in the news or any reference to planned legislation from the food standards agency, as far as I know. Apparently because rice is grown in water, it is one crop that is high in arsenic.  I like to make rice puddings, but will gladly give up rice if arsenic is what I am consuming. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-38910848  If you must eat rice, soak over night.
