Parkside Road, whats it like?

I'm looking to rent a property on Parkside road. Can anyone tell me what the area is like and whether its suitable for a family with kids? Also I've heard a lot about possible problems with parking especially on match days and was wondering if residents were able to park in Hillsborough park carpark with a permit or something similar.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It's got a really nice outlook over the park. The houses look nice too. I'd not fancy the parking situation much, and worse - there's a very high volume of traffic on that road, often queuing all the way along. It'll be pretty noisy as a result, I would think. Unless the house has got double glazing and you don't mind keeping the windows shut!

Not been to Hillborough for a while but was driving on Parkside Road a few weeks ago. It was comparatively early on Saturday morning but was already very busy with traffic. It’s noisy, polluted and parking seems very limited. However, doubtless some folk don’t mind all that because it is handy for the park, shops, buses etc.
