Ontarian1981 Â Â 10 #2 Posted March 8, 2018 I hear the NME ( New Musical Express) has breathed it's last. I first bought it around 1960. Anyone else read it, early 60's ? Â That was my weekly bible, used to have it delivered along with Melody Maker and Disc ( my mum liked to keep up with music news too), but NME was my favourite of the three. What a shame, but not surprising at all in light of the internet and changes in formats of music delivery to the public. All the music reviews today are by social media etc. and the "charts" are basically non-existant. RIP to the good old 50s and 60s music icon. The Joker   10 #3 Posted March 8, 2018 I used to deliver NME on me paper round, back where I were a lad  Only one customer received it, a hippy-ish looking older girl, very pretty, I remember she was, and very nice  I used to sneak a look at the mag on me round, it were a lot more grown-up than Smash Hits was
 Share this content via...
