Helen sharman , obe ,

I've just read an article about Helen Sharman and discovered she is an

"OBE" , I am sure that if she had been a man she would have been a Knight. We have numerous actors who are Knights or Dames for pretending to do things , this woman did it for real , I propose a petition to make our local hero a DAME at least . Any supporters ?

I think back in he days when she was awarded it, then OBE's were something.

Michale Foale is CBE, but he has a longer space career and went on 3 missions.

Absolutely...but sadly and unjustifiably all she gets remembered for is tripping at the student games. Poor lass.

I honestly don't believe poor Helen's going to get promoted .
