Sheffield to look like drunken football hooligans at 3pm today

Recommended Posts

You have blades fans and leeds fans finishing their game at 2pm

So they make their way into sheffield to drink and sing vulgar songs

And then at 3pm we get Wednesday fans arriving from Barnsley, probably also drunk

What will visitors think?

We are a city of culture and yet 3 sets of football fans will decend into the centre and cause chaos.

Hardly a good representation of a bustling, welcoming, thriving city of culture

What if they just drink and chat and don’t sing vulgar songs ?

It's the number of trolls that are starting to put people off Sheffield.

If anything surely it will improve the look and feel of the place, as we all know the city centre is a dump that just needs bulldozing and starting fresh again... And people wonder why Meadowhall is so busy and successful!

Yes, because no other major city in the country has to endure football fans collating on mass, getting drunk and possibly causing a kerfuffle ......:huh::loopy:

Well at least you will have all the hooligans in one place for a couple of hours.

"Bustling, welcoming, thriving city of culture"? What planet are you on?

Are you really talking about Sheffield? It was nothing like that last time I went into the city center. It was quiet and depressing with poor and expensive parking and appalling access, it will be a long time before I go again.

You are making a lot of assumptions about football fans, the majority of whom are are ordinary well behaved people who just want a drink and something to eat and will spend a lot of money.

Sheffield city centre is awfull and years behind Manchester, leeds ect,to many old buildings pulled down, also new ones like the housing building ,the wedding cake pulled down after only a few years, that wouldn't of been done if thought out properly in the first place, never mind games stadiums ect.
