rogets   136 #1 Posted February 10, 2018 (edited) You have blades fans and leeds fans finishing their game at 2pm  So they make their way into sheffield to drink and sing vulgar songs  And then at 3pm we get Wednesday fans arriving from Barnsley, probably also drunk  What will visitors think?  We are a city of culture and yet 3 sets of football fans will decend into the centre and cause chaos.  Hardly a good representation of a bustling, welcoming, thriving city of culture Edited February 10, 2018 by rogets
 Share this content via...

Michael_N Â Â 36 #5 Posted February 10, 2018 If anything surely it will improve the look and feel of the place, as we all know the city centre is a dump that just needs bulldozing and starting fresh again... And people wonder why Meadowhall is so busy and successful!
 Share this content via...
edgian   11 #6 Posted February 10, 2018 Yes, because no other major city in the country has to endure football fans collating on mass, getting drunk and possibly causing a kerfuffle ......
 Share this content via...

What planet are you on? Are you really talking about Sheffield? It was nothing like that last time I went into the city center. It was quiet and depressing with poor and expensive parking and appalling access, it will be a long time before I go again. You are making a lot of assumptions about football fans, the majority of whom are are ordinary well behaved people who just want a drink and something to eat and will spend a lot of money.
