whitelion   10 #1 Posted January 15, 2018 Tuesday 16th January: The Lowdown Acoustic Session The renowned acoustic session hosted by Rob Lowdon, of Treebeard, Jabberwocky and a performer in his own right, this gentle evening of acoustic music is open to all to listen, watch or join in. This week - a Christmas special!  8.30pm, free entry.  Wednesday 17th January: Quiz Night The highly irreverent Quiz is every Wednesday at The White. Hosted by the inimitable Mr Bling, you and your team must overcome 3 rounds of general knowledge, an audio round and a picture round in order to claim the prize.  Throw into the mix some random challenges, spot prizes, lashings of real ale and a completely free buffet with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options and you're onto a winner.  9pm, 50p entry Thursday 18th January: Jam Night Hosted by Sheffield legend Chris Firminger and backed by his regular house band The TwoJays, this evening provides a platform for musicians from all over Sheffield and further afield.  Renowned for the musicians it attracts, the Thursday Jam sees regular attendance and performance from the likes of Julian Jones, The Carnival, Open Jaw Fayre, The Crashers, Grave Danger, Fahrenheit, Vamp and many more.  Full backline and P.A. provided, come watch or join in.  8.30pm, free entry  Friday 19th January: Indie Manned Having blown us away last year, Indie Manned are back with a bang in 2018.  A truly great band of talented musicians, bringing you the very best from Britpop and Indie - expect all the classics and a few forgotten gems from the era.  9.30pm, free entry  Saturday 20th January: Atomic If you've never experienced the tour de force that is Atomic then now is your chance. Quite literally the best 80s experience you will see in our opinion, played to you by some of Sheffield's finest musicians. These guys blow the roof off every time they play.  Please be aware that Atomic are insanely popular.
