EventPlan's website says:

Enjoy colourful living history, combat and other displays by Roman, Medieval, English Civil War, Napoleonic and WWII re-enactors as we stage a multi-period “show within a show” at the extremely popular annual Lowedges Festival, staged by the Friends of Greenhill Park. Watch exciting arena displays, explore the living history encampments, compare the different uniforms, armour and period weaponry, chat to the friendly re-enactors and even have a go at soldiers’ drill!

Highlight displays include a medieval tournament, and WWII skirmish between Allied and German troops. Discover how the mighty Roman army conquered most of the then known world, what it was like to be a medieval knight, why a terrible civil war was fought in the mid C17th and how the Duke of Wellington’s redcoats defeated the Emperor Napoleon’s highly experienced army 200 years ago at the decisive Battle of Waterloo. Enjoy fascinating living history demonstrations such as wool spinning and admire a huge display of classic cars, vehicles and motorcycles.

Participants:

The excellent line up of historical groups includes The Roman Military Research Society; Escalfeld Medieval Society; Knights in Battle Medieval Society; English Civil War Society ; Coldstream Regiment of Foot Guards 1815; Northern World War 2 Association and (subject to confirmation) Axis-Allied Group.
