Windows update problem

Recommended Posts

What happens if you start Word 2007 then go FILE - OPEN and browse to one of your Word documents?

I would guess that Windows has changed the file association so that if you double click on a file its going elsewhere.

This works.

A bit of a pain mind.

Thanks for the advice, I am reading it, and off next week, so will have more time to throw the computer around try things :)

My computer did another update, and now all my MS word files are fine,

I wonder now if there might have been a flaw, that they picked up on and rectified.

Either way, I have backed up everything now on my computer, in case computer is dying.

First time I've tried to use my printer too since update.

That doesn't work now either.

Should I buy a new printer as well as a new computer? :|

It's a con, update things to make us buy new things. Everything worked fine, it then updates my computer and suddenly I have to buy new everything?!
