Obelix   11 #25 Posted September 24, 2018 If we all had our DNA checked I expect most of us would be surprised how mixed we are, and then there would probably be much less xenophobia and prejudice. I have English and Irish ancestry so I'm probably descended from some of those Scandinavian Viking invaders.  One side of my family is purely "English" going all the way back to those bastions of Englishmen - the Plantagenet Frenchies.  The other side - wow. I can get to the Old Pretender, another branch goes back to someone who married "an uncouth Catholic African slave *****" who didn't even rate a name apparantly. So I've him as a great to the something grandfather and wish I knew more. Theres Irish, Scandanavia (if you have blue eyes then we are all related if very distantly to one specific ancestor) and the list goes on....
