Cider press wanted

Any suggestions for where I can borrow/hire a cider press please? I've a glut of apples ready for pressing.

If you have any woodworking skills, or have a good mate who does, you could build one that will work with a car jack. My neighbour did this and we've used it very succesfully for the past five years.

A good idea if you have space is to freeze the apples first ,they are much more easier to press after freezing.

Thanks for the tip. The apples are currently in the freezer but I need the space back which is why I'm after a press.

The frame type ones you can build with a car jack for the press work quite well, used one for a few years until I found a press cheap enough on ebay

Thanks. I'd found a good set of instructions and cutting list but wanted to avoid making one because l don't really have the room to store it. I've found a Sheffield tool bank that I'm hoping to borrow one from instead.
