Some nuggets:

So we are getting 2 billion pounds worth of street repairs for 800 million?

Sounds like a good deal to me, well done sheffield council.

Dispatches was all about LOBO loans last night. Usually never watch dispatches, it only gets you upset if you take these things serious and believe it is ruining your live when council wastes all that money.

Sheffield taxpayers will be footing the bill for this scam for 50+ years.

If you thought the World Student games was a millstone round our necks , just wait for the scandal about this one to come out.

Of course by then , the councillors involved in setting this up will be long gone...and the fees pocketed by all and sundry well spent.

That £ 800 Million will turn into over £ 2 billion as the debt will be continually rolled over into more and more loans.

SCC will be repaying it for 50 + years

And the fees paid to the brokers to arrange the loans to pay for this will run into millions of pounds.

We are still paying for the WSG. We wont be clear for at least another 10 years.

The cost for that was about £ 200 million and the eventual total is well over £ 600 million.
