dutch   68 #49 Posted October 10, 2017 Cash is just a piece of paper with a pattern printed on it. Bible is also piece of paper with print.  Its value comes from your believe system. Believe is blind, that is why those who do believe cannot see truth.
 Share this content via...
petemcewan   27 #50 Posted October 10, 2017 (edited) Dutch,  The "truth" certainly doesn't reside in a cashless economy.    The move to a completely cashless society could mean governments have even more control over our wallets. Nobody really wants that. Edited October 10, 2017 by petemcewan
 Share this content via...
dutch   68 #51 Posted October 10, 2017 Dutch, The "truth" certainly doesn't reside in a cashless economy.   The move to a completely cashless society could mean governments have even more control over our wallets.  Concept and believe of money is very old, older than Buddhism. If I were on my own living on an island would rather have some good weather than all the money on the world. Politics and cashless society is not possible it will never happen. Control of wallet is only a problem when you identify with the wallet, nothing wrong using it for practical purpose but when its gone you are still there. Cyclone   10 #52 Posted October 11, 2017 In your attempt to be all mystical and hippy you entirely fail to consider that money is necessary if you don't live on a desert island and want to buy some food, or petrol, or pay the rent or the mortgage. Government control of your wallet isn't only a problem if you identify with it, it's a problem if the government stops being benign. dutch   68 #53 Posted October 11, 2017 What if you already paid mortgage and don't need any petrol?  When you talk about government and control, . He is in total control of everything and only needs a tenner for the best sandwich ever.
 Share this content via...
petemcewan   27 #54 Posted October 13, 2017 Dutch,  If I was on a desert island I'd take along some egg laying chickens. You cannot beat an egg for breakfast-they are stuffed full of vitamins and protein. Forget all your breakfast cereal stuffed full of sugar . It's official, eggs are back on the breakfast table. dutch   68 #55 Posted October 13, 2017 (edited) Exactly.  Just for others who are blinded by their beliefs. Don't get me wrong I do have and use a wallet cash and cards. To me its use is just like someone living in a middle east country pretending to be religious or else will get stoned to death by the believing idiots.
