Ive just applied for council tax and housing benefit however I'm not sure whether I should have applied for universal credit instead? Many thanks.  If you are working 30 hours a week you are very unlikely to qualify for Universal Credit, count yourself lucky. You did right to apply for housing benefit and council tax support but you may not qualify.
