Sheffield Wednesday v Carlisle United 16/01/18

Recommended Posts

Bitterly cold night, Carlisle had the first real chance of the game before Matias smashed home his first of the season, pretty non-descript first half. Better in the second and over as a contest when Nuihu bagged the second, good run outs for Dawson, Nielsen and O'Grady give a fairly easy passage to the next round for the park the bus, hoofball team. Bring on Reading.

Seeing the name of the original poster, I would say Pure Sarcasm would be the answer.

Moving on from the derby and a cup replay gives Jos his first home game, it’ll take a while for him to put his influence over but early signs are promising, be nice to see some young players tried out.

2-0

Good to see some U23's get a game and correct score prediction. :)

The Under 18's won 8-0 as well.

No stopping Wednesday now, all the way to Wembley, guaranteed!!

Massacred (2-0) a tremendous Carlisle team.

We'll not freeze this time, whoever we meet (beat) in the Final.

No sign of arrogance or over confidence from the Wednesday lads whatsoever.

Who's out there to stop us???

What a team!!!

Not the greatest of games, got the result and another home tie against stronger opposition. Dawson, along with O,Grady and Nielsen who were making there first appearances did o.k for there first run outs. and have to say Dave put in a good shift and gave us something to cheer when he scored, One step nearer to Wembley.

Matias's movement was good, just needs to do it against better opposition.

I can agree with that and Venancio was very vociferous in helping the youngsters.

I've been quite impressed with Venancio, no idea why CC wouldn't give him a start.

I said that. Only seem him twice, once against a slow lower league strike force, and the other against Carlisle.... but he seems very composed
