And if you can get them off your property can't you get them to a tip?  £60 is a bit of a con though.
 Share this content via...

barleycorn   10 #172 Posted January 15, 2018 Council tenants are allowed one free bulk refuge collection per year (one ITEM) from Veolia after that its £60.00 per item. No, it is not. If you're a council tenant then it's a tenner for 1-3 items. Do you get through a lot of white goods if you're a council tennent? And if you can get them off your property can't you get them to a tip? £60 is a bit of a con though. It would be if it was. It isn't though so it isn't. Quite reasonable costs actually.  Prices here: https://www.veolia.co.uk/sheffield/collections-home/collections-home/bulky-item-collection-service  Edit: Ninja'd
 Share this content via...
Itrytoplease   10 #173 Posted January 16, 2018 It would be if it were true: https://www.veolia.co.uk/sheffield/collections-home/collections-home/bulky-item-collection-service  I swear to god, when I asked for an item to be collected she kept on about - If I've already had my one collection already it would cost me £60.00 per Item, she mentioned this not once, but three times during our conversation until I told her " Listen I have not had a previous collection" I've got a double bed here I want shifting, If it's only a tenner It will be gone this week. RJRB Â Â 688 #174 Posted January 16, 2018 Just as a matter of interest how much does it cost for garages/tyre fitters to legitimately get rid of worn tyres. Seems to be a popular item for dumping. The latest lot dumped in the car park at Loxley Common.
 Share this content via...

Do they save them up until its worth ringing for a free collection every 12 months?
 Share this content via...
horribleblob   213 #177 Posted May 19, 2018 Yay! It seems SYP and the 'Sheffield Star' have just discovered this "new online reporting service", http://www.fixmystreet.com.  https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/police-use-new-online-service-after-fly-tippers-strike-on-sheffield-street-1-9172345  Don't get me wrong – I think that's great – but, unless I'm hallucinating, I'm sure I've been using the same service for the past decade. dutch   68 #179 Posted May 19, 2018 I thought there are signs up there in some places warning of £50.000 maximum fine for fly tipping. It be worth while to properly investigate any littering up wincobank area.
 Share this content via...
Thorpist   72 #180 Posted May 20, 2018 It will be interesting to see if there are prosecutions after this posting on the Thorpe Hesley and Scholes F/B page "The disgusting humans who drive a big scruffy red van with the reg SKZ 2644 have dumped 3 separate loads of rubble, take away rubbish and hundreds of take away menus since 3pm Thursday."
