lazarus   68 #2 Posted January 17, 2018 Ive inherited lots of silver plated cutlery. Does anyone know who might buy them? They are not worth much, the amount of silver on each item works out at about three pence, put them in an auction if they are in complete sets or just give them away. MEC176 Â Â 10 #3 Posted January 17, 2018 If you go to the Antiques Center in Elsecar there is a dealer there who has a metal chest half full of old Silver plated and normal old cutlery meat set's and fish set's some still in their display cases, selling for pence, charity shop's will take them and cash them in for scrap shame really because if you look at them, and some are very ornate, there is history of the lost cutlery manufacturers of Sheffield. smithy266 Â Â 21 #4 Posted January 17, 2018 don't put silver plated cutlery in the dishwasher btw, just a normal sink wash. Otherwise the shiny silver will turn black. Do you know the make and pattern?
 Share this content via...
