Guest   #125 Posted May 8, 2018 (edited) Many thanks to those of you who have posted your thanks for my involvement In the Local 6 Predictions League. Your messages have been warmly received particularly as most of them came from the blue side of the city. Respect to you guys - it makes the ‘job’ worthwhile.  Announcement  I believe that most folks know by now that Local 6 League predictions are extracted directly from the SF web pages by computer process.  This post announced that changes are forthcoming and asked for volunteers to assist the forum developers with testing the new billboard hosting service. I have volunteered to help and also explained that I maintain the Local 6 Predictions League, and that early sight of the new system would provide an opportunity for me to make the required changes to my software before the new system goes live. SF have acknowledged receipt of my request, but that does not guarantee that I will be selected as a volunteer. The prediction extraction process is complicated and will need quite a bit of re-designing and programming to enable it to work with the new system. Hopefully, I will be selected, and that I will be able to develop a solution before the new season begins as I don’t intend to revert to manually inputting predictions if I am not given the opportunity to take part.  If all goes well, I’ll be supporting another year of the Local 6 Predictions League, but I’m just making you aware that this may not be possible due to circumstances beyond my control. I’ll let you all know how things pan out.  Fingers crossed.  Have a great summer. Edited May 8, 2018 by Guest
 Share this content via...
