And the Next Football boss to be sacked/resign is ..

Recommended Posts

Not a Sheffield manager I know but it could be relevant to our two any way.

Sam Allardyce has just been sacked by Everton and received a two million pound pay off for his effort.

Nice. Work if you you can get it int it?

Jokes on Everton really, throwing money away sacking someone who's done pretty well.

I don't like the man, but he got some results and they finished in 8th place, which isn't that bad.

The club and fans might think they deserve better, but in reality thats about it for them.

This is exactly it - some clubs (and their supporters) have massively unrealistic expectations.

The top six clubs in the PL this year were:-

Man City

Man United

Spurs

Liverpool

Chelsea

Arsenal.

Look at their squads. Look at Everton's squad.

The very best position Everton could have realistically got to was seventh. They finished eighth.

So they sack the manager?

According to Sky:

Swansea - Chris Coleman odds on favourite

West Ham - Manuel Pellegrini odds on favourite

Everton - Marco Silva (1/3 with Sky Bet)

Stoke - David Moyes (11/8 with Sky Bet)

Unai Emery has been named as Arsenal's new manager. Let's hope he doesn't turn out to more like Dick Emery! (One for the older football fan).

Might be more than two million Albert, what if gaffer said to you or me "Don't think you're up to the job kid, we have to let you go but here's six million quid that may help alleviate the grief of being unemployed ".
