Honestly, the link tax is the stupidest thing in the history of the Internet. It just can't work as links are the basic principle the WWW is founded on!

Rest easy, leistungsschutzrecht was a miserable failure that invoked the law of unintended consequences a few years ago and it's going nowhere again. All that happened when Spain introduced a news link tax is that Google removed Spanish news links from Google and killed their business overnight.

 

It's be more concerned about Leveson 2, Max Moseley's Impress, and the Labour party's ongoing desire to government censor the news that isn't to their liking. Like Russia, or Turkey, or Iran, or China, or North Korea.
