Albert smith   11 #841 Posted May 17, 2018 Not a Sheffield manager I know but it could be relevant to our two any way. Sam Allardyce has just been sacked by Everton and received a two million pound pay off for his effort. Nice. Work if you you can get it int it? Harrystottle   10 #842 Posted May 17, 2018 Jokes on Everton really, throwing money away sacking someone who's done pretty well. I don't like the man, but he got some results and they finished in 8th place, which isn't that bad. The club and fans might think they deserve better, but in reality thats about it for them.  This is exactly it - some clubs (and their supporters) have massively unrealistic expectations.  The top six clubs in the PL this year were:- Man City Man United Spurs Liverpool Chelsea Arsenal.  Look at their squads. Look at Everton's squad.  The very best position Everton could have realistically got to was seventh. They finished eighth.  So they sack the manager?
