ohmyword 10 #1 Posted September 7, 2017 (edited) Been watching a show from the olden days on my Sky TV and it’s really funny but I got some questions. How old are the men supposed to be? They like the functioning alcoholic lifestyle and live together but not ‘together’ if you see what I mean (I think that sort of thing was a bit ‘RISK A’ in the olden days when it were filmed). My friend Stephen said they’re meant to be about 25 but that’s mental cos Gary Strang looks about 40! I thought they were meant to be a bit older but am not sure how old exactly. Strang has a bird called Dorothy and she looks very old and worn (although she is a nurse so probably long hours and Tory government has took it’s toll on her lol!). The other guy Tony is a bit of a loser and tries it on with the babe downstairs who has a name for sure but I can’t remember it. What are we saying then people? EDIT: I Google'd the show and apparently Tony is called Neil Morrissey in real life. That's such an obscure name. Anyone know if he's related to that miserable vegan from the 1980s goth music scene? ohmyword 10 #3 Posted September 8, 2017 I have no idea what this is about. I's it colonial. I don't know what that word means but it's an olden days sitcom right at the start of the so called 'lad culture' (where Chris Evans came on TV all the time and porny magazines were all the rage such as FHM, FML, NUTS MAG, JAZZMAG and MAXIM. It was a time really different to nowadays when everything is transed gender.
 Share this content via...

ohmyword 10 #5 Posted September 8, 2017 (edited) Was it like some mothers do have them. That was the phantom of the opera pretending to be Frank who I believe was meant to be a gay man trapped in a conventional marriage (the norm of the days). It's quite similar in the belly laughing scenes of a hopeless man actually but I'd never put 2 and 2 together before. Bread was the true genius of that era and I think Dexy's Midnight Ramblers did the theme music. Edited September 8, 2017 by ohmyword I messed up big time. Said the wrong band! Oh Betty will be devastated.
 Share this content via...

ohmyword 10 #10 Posted September 11, 2017 The name of the woman downstairs was Debra and was played by Leslie ash Thank you Ruddy. That's it. She was quite nice back then I think but didn't she do the Pete Burns 'lip up fatty' soon after? That was a shame.
 Share this content via...
