Red Kite.. I think!

Recommended Posts

Every week on my way back to base after my delivery to Safeway Heathrow as I drove North on the M40 I used to count between 15 to 20 red kites circling gracefully, this was just as I left High Whycombe behind and broke into open country!.I don,t know what attracted them to this area but there they were every week without fail,a beautiful bird to observe the sooner they migrate north the better!.

Just hanging the washing out and seen 5 yes! 5 red kites soaring over Wincobank Hill. ( Flew up from over Don Valley).Lovely sunny day. Flew first over towards town then back overhead and back to the motorway towards Rotherham/ Barnsley. ( We have a great view from the bedroom window).

If they've got forked tails they're Red Kites.

fantails, aren't they, rather than forked?
