Rushup   10 #37 Posted December 20, 2007 Best Italian in S11, by a country mile, is Pasta Bar.  That's not even the best on the road.  La Terazza is much better, Sharrowvale Road.
 Share this content via...
royalowl   14 #38 Posted December 20, 2007 That one on Walkley - who's name I can't remember.  Vito's - Me and the missus are going there tomorrow night.  Usually go about once a month and it's always good.
 Share this content via...

brianthedog   10 #40 Posted December 20, 2007 San Lorenzo's Sharrow Vale Road.....  Italian run, small, cosy atmosphere, great food  I would have agreed until we went this summer. Not cosy - too bright - and food was mediocre. Service was very slow too.
 Share this content via...

pippadoll   10 #43 Posted December 20, 2007 i am not sure if I have had a good Itallian in Sheffield; I haven't been to Vito's for a long time, but it was good.  My friend said Marco@Milano is great.  Other than than that, it is not doing it for me. nick2   10 #45 Posted December 20, 2007 Vito's - Me and the missus are going there tomorrow night. Usually go about once a month and it's always good.  Thats it, they do a dish with fillet steak pan fried with garlic and lemon served with rocket and parmasan, it's wonderfull.  Rossi's is nice too, just of London Road. johnbradley   10 #46 Posted December 21, 2007 That's not even the best on the road. La Terazza is much better, Sharrowvale Road.  is that the one opposite 'bottoms up'? If it is, i wouldnt touch that place with yours mate!  Went there once, food was overdone, staff were overworked, and the prices weren't justified. The overall quality was rubbish. At what point is a burnt, dry steak 'rare'?  They screwed the basics right up. And didn't do much about the £100 bill either. Not be going there again.  Each time i've been to PB the service has been excellent, the food lovely and the prices reasonable. Rich   12 #47 Posted December 21, 2007 That one on Walkley - who's name I can't remember.  That would be Vito's on South Road.  My own pick would possibly La Civetta Di Roberto on Middlewood Road, well actually it's Martini's on London Road but that one shut down a while back apparently so I've gone with the Hillsborough one.
