When I first discovered the Sheffield football thread I expected it to be about football.What a disappointment.I've watched football since 1960,all over the country and Europe(son ex international so lots of opportunity)I love the game and also love discussing tactics etc.Unfortunately,many of the contributors on here just don't know enough to be able to enter into an interesting discussion.Thankfully,I've now found an excellent forum for people who know about the game and are able to discuss and argue without resorting to juvenile name calling.They don't need to,they know and respect the game....so it's goodbye from me...

Sheffield footie is a mess,we all agree. What about joining forces.Instead of being an embarrassment we could have one super team supported by everyone. Name -Sheffield City Colours -Red,white and Blue or if you prefer blue,white and red. It's been talked about so many times before and everyone gets het up about it.It would be a nine days wonder and in no time at all it would be forgotten because we would all be too busy being proud of a team that has the support of the whole city with money to spend from selling two grounds and replacing it with one. It would depend on all the supporters being adult enough to accept it and not clinging to the past. Now here comes the onslaught!Lets be havin' you!!!

According to Coral on talkSPORT this morning it's odds on for Robson to leave the lane before the end of the season.Hope it won't be as long as that...

Post codes are nothing to do with it;I used to live in Hampshire and had a Guildford postcode which is in Surrey.Dronfield is not part of Sheffield.

Me too.The team from Manchester who play in red are not allowed to be mentioned in our house.

On BBC5Live today Bryan Robson blamed the fans for Saturday's draw!! Can't wait for him to go...

Gary Speed says all the players are backing Robson,can't think why.The best motivator I've seen at the lane was Harry Bassett and he's out of a job at the moment.Wish we could get him back...what does anyone else think?

Have never understood why people rate 'big Sam' what's so special about him?He's never won a thing.I don't trust him either;he must have been laughing up his sleeve when he negotiated that contract...

We've had blackbirds,greenfinches,goldfinches,bluetits,coaltits,great tits,a wren,a dunnock,wood pigeons and magpies.Haven't seen any starlings for ages and only the occasional sparrow.No thrushes for ages either.

I've lived in various parts of the country and Radio Sheffield definitely has the best footie coverage.I like Praise or Grumble but can't understand what half the callers are saying as it's the inarticulate ones who ring in.Too many 'er-ers' for me.

If anyone is in any doubt that this is all very clever suggestion and manipulation ask yourself why Derek Acorah's 'spirits' who speak 'through' him have a Liverpool accent??

The first thing to do is write a letter to the hospital administrator stating the value of the hearing aid,enclose written evidence and ask for remuneration.Keep a copy of the letter.I've worked in the NHS all my life and it won't be a problem.They are insured for this sort of thing.It's sad to see the critical posts on this thread.The NHS will be blamed for the weather next.

Robson always looks bored to death - or out of his depth? Can't imagine how he could ever motivate anyone....I know someone who has socialised with him a lot and apparently he's really good company;could have fooled me....
