  1. Hi all, I've been wanting a new LCD tv for sometime and have just taken the plunge and reserved an lg 42" LCD. It will fit the space but I'm thinking is it too big?! I currently have a 27" old style tv and can't imagine anything bigger! Do you have one? Like it? Think it's too big in hindsight or love it? Opinions greatly recieved! Xx
  2. Definatley.sadly. Totally. :0( life with a man is all about tolerance and compromise!! Sometimes I wish we could live in seperate houses as living with mine drives me mad. Picks nose doesn't clean bathroom doesn't pick bathmat up after shower dies t put lid on toothpaste doesn't lift toilet seat so I sit on a wet one! Doesn't see crumbs after making toast/sandwich doesn't realise there isn't a medal for cleaning, it has to be done regulary not just "I did it last month" using EVERY utensil in the kitchen when cooking channel flicking then watching something that's already half way through or doesn't know what it's about not understanding women like small talk not understand when we ask u something we don't need a solution we just want to talk about it when I ask if I look fat in something I actually on this one occassion want you to lie and say no darling!! Not " you wanted honesty" now where's gerard butler?! :0)
  3. Hi all, I have a 59 plate golf. Had no worries up until yesterday when I noticed someone had tried to break in the passenger side window by trying to prise the seal and snapping the trim. Then I got thinking about the alam and why it never went off? Surely it should gave done? In fact it never does. So today we've pushed it, sat on it, messed with the doors and nothing. We then sat inside and put the alam on....waved moved about and didn't go off for 25 seconds more than enough time for someone to steal all my belongings. Rang golf-must not be set sensitive enough we'll have it in on the 21st. And the repair will be £100 approx as damage isn't covered on warrenty. The more I think about it the more annoyed I am. That to me isn't good enough, it should go off when tampered with surely??!!! The damage wouldn't have happened if the alarm had gone off (or scared them off) what are others alarms like? Is this a golf trait? I thought when u bought a gold you got quality and I felt that about the alarm but now I'm not to sure or impresed.
  4. Hi all, I've wondered about the above for some time and would really like it done. Anyone had lipo? Do you regret having it done? Best thing you ever did? Advice? Recommendations for consultant? Thanks
  5. Pleased with this weekend's results Think they are the right two to go. Jenny was good but not right for Dorothy, would be good in something else though. I like Jess but for another role, something, like Andrew said, more comical. Neither were my favourite Dorothy's. I'd like Steph or Danielle to win x
  6. I'm with you guys and love the show! I also liked the one for Joseph and Nancy! I think Sheila was very brave and right to say what she said although i did look akwardly at my partner when she said it! but it's true, it would be great to have someone different as Dorothy. I wasn't expecting Stephanie to go out but i'm glad he picked her over Steph. For me the weakest is Sophie (redhead) and as much as i like Jenny's voice (blonde) i think she would struggle as she isn't the best mover. Danielle is the best for me and i've liked her from day one. I think she's the best actress and fits the Dorothy stereotype as much as i hate to admit it. Jess is great but not Dorothy for me, she reminds me too much of Liza Minelli and would be better suited to a different role. Dare i say a little bit too manly!? It would be brilliant if Steph could win but i don't think she will, i don't think the audience are behind her, not because she's not good but because they can't see her as Dorothy. I actually think she's TOO good and would be better in a different role. I can see her as Jasmine in Aladdin (now that would make a great musical:)) Ok, enough over the Rainbow talk... Next week i'd like to see Sophie or Jess leave.
  7. My favourites are: TAPAS= Platillo's in Leopold Square ENGLISH = Artisan in Crosspool INDIAN = Ayesha's on Eccelsall Rd ITALIAN = Vito's in Walkley JAPANESE = Wasabiwasabi (or however it's spelt) Best takeaways: Hillsborough chinese Holme Lane Taste of India Bradfield Rd
  8. I like Danielle best, didn't notice her at first but really liker her now. I also like Steph, thinks she's great. Best actress.
  9. I work opposite and drive past this house, i would LOVE! to buy it and renovate it! Seen skips there recently so wonder if someone already is... x
  10. because they start earlier on a sat so all post in ready to go earlier and therefore can get out on the streets early. In the week there is much more to sort and most have to sort others rounds, collapse etc before they are allowed out to do their round. My bloke is a postman and works bloomin hard!
  11. Older sibling at school, offered school at other side of town, impossible to get both children to school on time at opposite ends of the city in rush hour and many more.... The rejection letter doesn't state exactly as to why but i have read they have to state legally as to why. Having spoken to people i am pretty sure it the max 30 in reception debate.
  12. thank you but this is the junior school on Manchester road, i want the infant school on Lydgate lane and can't find a website for them?
  13. Hi all, Could anyone point me in the right direction for the school prospectus or admissions criteria please. I'm currently writing an appeal letter and would like to view this. Thank you x
  14. I reccomend sheffield Window centre. I had the exact same query as you, wanted to put original sash windows in but wooden were too expensive so i compromised and went for mock sash upvc and i love them. It was £1500 for my large bay and double (large) main bedroom window. I'm having the rest of the house done in mock sash tomorrow
  15. I was dissapointed, thought the quality was pretty poor and wouldn't go back. Its also too big and noisy for my liking 'chinese on mass' not really my cup of tea.
  16. I used to be able to lie in until late but now I'm wide awake at 8am on weekends!! Argh! Don't know if it's because I now work 9-5 mon-fri as I used to do shifts but it's really annoying! I always remember my mum saying "youll never be able to lie in like that when u get older"
  17. Wasasabi on London Rd does the best sushi in my opinion. did used to go to Yo Sushi! at M'hall but its gone down hill and the portion sizes have got much smaller
  18. 1.Looking at young people in town with hardly any clothes on and thinking "oohh where's your coat your going to catch a cold" 2. Not liking music turned up really loud! 3. Not being able to lie in 4. Enjoying Question Time 5. Seeing children i used to look after all grown up and wondering where the years went 6. Wanting to go home at 11pm on a night out as all i want is my bed
  19. I have to agree with this thread. I'm in my early 30's with no kids but do take my neices there. Play areas are for children not teenagers and some days irbid overrun with them. I walked my dog there yesterday and there were more older teenagers in there than little kids! If it's empty than fair enough but when little ones want and need the space to play they should leave. It does annoy me when they take up all the baby swings. The building next to the libary needs renovating into a cafe and at night a drop in type cafe for teenagers where they can sit and drink, talk and play pool. There is a massive opp being missed here and if I had the capital I'd do it myself!!
  20. My teeth are nice, not much discolouration, just the normal yellowness on some. I'm happy with them and have no fillings (ie ive always looked after them) My dentist suggested they would look lovely whiter and i was a great candidate for bleaching as they would come up even nicer!?! hmmm:mad: I know lots of people who've had it done and they look fab, mine look no different and are definatley NOT whiter!! x
  21. Hi all, I'm curious and miffed! I'm on week 2 of my teeth whitening. Mouth trays fitted by a dentist and gel applied at night. I have seen no difference in my teeth a tall. They wern't that bad to start with but they are no whiter than they were before i started! I've follwed the instructions and done exactly as the dentist said. I feel conned as it was a lot of money and just wondered if anyone else had the same experience? If so why were you told it hadn't worked?! I'm ringing the dentist in the am!! x
  22. I'm the same, i'm sick of carting smelly bottles to the bank in the back on my car....we have much more plastic than paper. It would have been nice to have wheels, like the sainsbury's baskets that can either be carried or wheeled around. What i would have really liked is them in GREEN!!!!!Their in the bloody garden MR & MRS Council, lets at least make them blend in!
  23. I thought it was rubbish. We were excited about seeing it, thought it would be a tense, psychological thriller which would keep me gripped, scared etc (i was thinking gothika etc) I got the plot straight away and the rest was pretty dull. For me it lacked a 'something' and i didnt like Leonardo as leading man, he just doesnt do it for me (in any role)
  24. Franklins are the bed specialists and have been around for many many years, family run business and know what there talking about
