Sheffield Half-Marathon on Sunday 27 May- megathread

couple o questions to those that have done it before. 1st time here and the information booklet is as good as useless. 1) what time should i aim to get to the don valley? the booklet only says 9am start time and not how much time to allow. 2) is there enough parking at the arena?? 7000 applicants, how early do i need to get there for a space?? 3) are there toilets at the drinking areas? all this drinking and i'm doing to need to go. 4) "runners with a number on do not need to register on the day" - no idea what this means. I got a number and a timing chip in my pack but do i need to register? 5) "Number must be worn on the vest front. Number must not be cut down or altered (This is a UKA rule)." - what vest??? do i need to buy one or is one provided?? i don't get it. never done a marathon before and for someone who's not done one the booklet and website are completely useless. getting a bit stressed! advice appreciated. -

I'm assuming once the bridge is replaced it will be able to run with 2 lanes of traffic again, thus getting rid of the bottleneck? or am i mistaken? -

drove past the betting shop near Pizza Hut and a sign up saying it's closed down for good. seems strange as it always seemed busy in there. or were they forced to close? does anyone care?
