found the problem, it was a faulty fan/power unit in the computer. I've replaced it and it works spot on thanks for the interest and advice every one.

I've entered the bios and then entered boot but cannot find wake up on LAN, just wondering could it be a faulty power supply.

hi there i 'am just looking for a bit of help every time i shut down my PC it switches off then comes back on, on its own after 2 minute's does anyone no what could be causing this. cheers
