Hi Peno,I went to Hillsborough a few times ,I would be passed to the front for a better view & then passed back at the end of the game.Dad worked at Hillsborough for nearly 40years,at the Leppings Lane end,(North stand) he was paid for watching which wasn't bad.

Bushbaby Thank you. Yes thats the one,he was a very good goalkeeper I played in the same side. with Dave Travis & Geoff Worth. I used to live on Mansel and knew Robin very well,but lost contact 20years ago.Do you know where he lives now, as we are trying to contact him.Daz. -

Yes , the same.Dad did work in Jessop's for a few years 12+hours a day,(the good old days).You might also know my brother,Brian.I'm now wandering how you knew my dad?I trained with Geoff,Sandy,Ian&DaveTravis at HBC.Ted Goddard was in charge,did he recieve any recognition, for all the fantastic work he did?(one of the best).Regards Daz.

Hi yer chap BLADE,Ive only just found this site and yes I remember all these things, I used to live on Mansel crescent, when the sikh called, me and my brothers use to run upstairs and hide until he'd gone.How times have changed.Daz. -
That's a lot of £s for a player who is injury prone & nowhere near fit, and could break down anytime.

I might have played in the same HBC/ Hallam sides as you 66/67? I went to Yew Lane,and left in 1962.David Trotter lived four doors from me on Mansel Crescent.My elder brother played in the same football team as David Platt,Jeff Careless etc.all very good players.Is the school still there?
